Children’s Garden: Work Party "Three Sisters Garden"

Kids,

Come learn about the "Three Sisters" Native American legend this Saturday!

We will plant the “Three Sisters” garden, set up the rabbit fencing, add faces to the scarecrows and put them in the garden.

You’ll get a great recipe for "Three Sisters Griddle Cakes" and some pollinator plants to take home- cosmos, borage, calendula, poppies.

Bring

     - gloves, shovel/trowels

     - flower pots (large & small) if you want some pollinator plants

     - lunch & beverage for you and your family

     - if you want, bring a snack to share

Kids Assignment:  look information about the "Three Sisters Garden".

     - What is the legend?

     - Where did it begin?

     - What are three vegetables that make up the garden ...

           Hint -  corn  + ? + ? = Three Sisters Garden

See you Saturday,

John & Sue Olson
